This is the newest game from Perfect World International. Now I love this company. They are always doing something new it seems like and always have a game being made, and let's just say it they added one of the best online RPG features ever, the Meditate skill. This lets you meditate and regain health and mana/chi. In some cases like Jade Dynasty it even lets you gain XP over time so you can take a break and leave it in Meditate and you come back and are half way to level 24! They are famous for Perfect World which is a great game famous for letting you have creature characters like a giant panda, well they are basically humanoids but they look cool, my favorite is the wolf.

They also made Ether Saga which is a cartoony game which I am currently playing. I like it but the click combat gets old but they got a great pet system and finally a good game that does spear attacks right, well every Perfect World game has done them right. So their newest IP is Battle of the Immortals or BoI for short. This game I must say is fucking spectacular. It almost mimics Diablo 2 in every way. This is not your regular MMO it is top down angeled like Diablo 2. So just think Diablo 2 with 3D graphics. It says it's 2.5D but it's actually 3D. You can zoom closer to view action you can also move with WASD which is neat. It is click combat just like Diablo except it keeps attacking so no spamming the click. You also get skills and such like any other RPG. So no I'm gonna talk about the great things in this game. First up is the quest route. This is when you look at the quest and it says the NPC to turn it in to and then what your to get or kill. Well they are both highlighted and underlined. Clicking on one with set an auto-route and automatic move you to the target. This is very helpful so no more of that having to take 20 mins to find something. Now other games have done this but not quite as well. This never has you stop walking but will move the route a bit left or right, this is to avoid getting caught on walls and such. I have used it a lot and have yet to get stuck.

Next is the pet system, this is a key function in this game. You get a pet before you are level 10 actually in the first area. The pet will level up with you may distribute points to its attributes and set skill slots, I havent tapped the skills yet. The pet will also change appearance as it evolves higher. My Sandstorm Wolf is level 21 and it hasn't changed yet so I don't know when that will happen. There is also the chance to be able to catch any, or almost any, creature in the game. There will be a symbol to the right of there heal bar that tells you if they can be caught. So far every creature I have fought can be caught. Now there's only a chance so you don't always get to catch it. I'm not sure if there is maybe a function in place so that you may catch a creature only if your a set number of levels above it or not. The downside is that you only get 3 pet slots, or at first maybe you can get more idk. So I have my wolf and a Ravager which is a demonic ratman thing. I had a Immortal Koala which was badass. It was a koala with I think a safety helmet and a saw. I thought it was awesome but I had to give it up but that was the first I got as a gift from an NPC.

So this is a great system as they aid you in battle and help a lot. The next thing is the EXP. Now I know you probably all had your grinding experiences, I know I have. This game however is not like that. I have had the game for 3 days now and only play around 6-8hrs in all and am already level 25. It took me like a week to get to level 14 in WoW. This game is extremely fast paced. You will be leveling fast and getting stuff fast. So no worries about feeling underpowered all the time. There is also a XP attack which is like a super attack. It is an area of effect that kills everything around within like 6 feet. Now my lvl 25 Champion (Paladin) has a smash that only goes a couple feet, as the Slayer(Rouge) and the Magus(Mage) have wide radius attacks, the Magus has one that goes over 20 feet, I guess that makes up for being a pussy close range. All the classes have a high point and are all fun to play. There are 5 to choose from. Berzerker, the tank, Champion, defender, Slayer, rogue, Magus, mage, and Heretic, priest/healer. Now the Magus and Heretic are naturally harder to play to start off being weaker and having ranged attacks so you can't get close. They however will get more powerful skills in the long run. I like the Heretic but went with the Champion for the close combat, also they are better for parties which I rarely play with.

This is a free to play game with the cash shop to get Zen to buy things like pets and mounts. Mounts are in the game as well which is awesome. I have never gotten a mount in any MMO because the makers never want you to get it they make you spend hundreds of days and level until you can finally unlock it. This is mostly to aggravate you to just buy it from the shop. In this, leveling up the mount improves speed, earns skills and also changes the appearance. I am hoping that maybe they add a spirit mount like off Sacred 2 where you do a huge quest to get it. Now you get a couple from quests I believe but it would be cool to have the mount linked to what class you are so each is unique and looks totally different from the others. There is also an in-game recorder that lets you record game play which is a nice touch. So this is just an all around great game. You will level up fast and be able to enjoy all the shiny stuff. Also there is Soul Armor which is like elite armor you get when you reach 45 I think then another better set later on which is nice. Another thing is that the music is awesome very rarely is there actual good music in a free game its always old and bland this stuff is good always fresh it seems.

I also want to add that the areas and creatures from the first level to the main hub city are a complete rip off of the Scorpion King and the new Mummy movies and it is hilarious. So just go download this it's only a little over 1gb to download and is almost 4gb when installed but well worth it. Make note that I can play this on the ultra settings with no problem so this is the most user friendly graphics I've played with it seems almost everyone can run it which is a great thing.
